We won the 2022 Circular Lagos Challenge in the NGN category. Circular Lagos is a project launched by Lagos State that seeks to grow the market for ‘Circular Economy’ businesses in ways that benefit producers, consumers, and communities across Lagos. The competition was organized by the Lagos State Government in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) & Circular Economy Innovation Partnership(CEIP Africa).
The challenge brought together industry players such as BASF, Sweepsmart, Coca-Cola and Growing Businesses Foundation(GBF), Nigerian Breweries Plc., Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance(FBRA) and New Generation Nutrition (NGN) as challenge owners to engage entrepreneurs in the Circular Lagos Challenge to provide solutions to waste challenges affecting the different sectors of the economy.

We won in the NGN category & the challenge was “How can insect-rearing sector source 100% recycled crates for storage and transportation of products?”. Our solution was transforming low-value plastic waste considered hard-to-recycle or unrecyclable into boards; these boards are then made into crates for the insect-rearing sector.
